Introducing Early Equity Kits for Socially Conscious Families

Check out our early equity kits beginning Saturday, Dec. 2. These backpack kits are filled with award-winning books and curated booklists to help raise socially conscious children. Topics include the celebration of families and heritage, gender expression, and more. Please review materials before sharing them with children.

You can find the kits in the Main Library's Children's Room and at the Bob Lucas Memorial Library.

Provided through a partnership with Growing Together PASadena and supported in part by funding provided by the State of California, administered by the California State Library.

Do You Know That Altadena Libraries Offer...

Lending Through Vending

We now have a library materials vending machine at Prime Pizza in Altadena and one temporarily housed at the Main Library (we're searching for its permanent home in west Altadena).

Use your library card 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to borrow, browse, pick up and return books and other materials.

Learn more at: altadenalibrary.org/vending-machines.

If you are an Altadena Library cardholder with Good Neighbor account status (cardholder for more than 21 days, no outstanding fees, and a history of returning materials), you can register for Self-Service Extended Access.

Extended Access gives you use of the Main Library BEFORE WE OPEN from 8 to 10 a.m., Monday through Friday. While library staff is not available to help during this time, you can enjoy all of our self-service activities...such as using library computers, printing, copying, hold pickup, self checkout, and more.

Find out more about this service and apply for access, at www.altadenalibrary.org/extendedaccess.

Altadena Library Offers Homebound Delivery Service
