AB 238 Outcomes Review Hearing – Mortgage Forbearance Act
March 20 • 10am
Pasadena City College, Westerbeck Recital Hall
On March 20, 2026, at 10 am the California State Assembly Banking and Finance Committee will be holding an informational outcomes hearing at Pasadena City College. Community turn out and public testimony at this hearing will be critical to advancing AB 1847 and to improving access to mortgage forbearance for survivors.

This year, Assemblymember Harabedian introduced AB 1847 which will extend the protections won in AB 238 by two additional years for Los Angeles Fire survivors.

This is an opportunity for our legislators to hear directly from impacted survivors who will have an opportunity to share their experiences navigating mortgage relief—what worked, what challenges they faced when working with their mortgage servicer, and where additional support may still be needed.

Homeowners can participate in two ways:
• In person by providing public testimony at the hearing (preferred)
• In writing by submitting their story to be included in the official legislative record (Submission Form: Share Your Story: Eaton Fire & Mortgage Forbearance | Official Website - Assemblymember John Harabedian California Assembly District 41)
