Join us on December 5 from 5:30pm-7:30pm at the EFC Collaboratory (540 W. Woodbury Road, Altadena 91001)! Our special guest speaker Dr. David Schonfeld, will offer guidance on how parents and caregivers can support their children on the aftermath of the Eaton Fire. There will also be fun gifts, prizes, and resources for everyone. Childcare, Spanish translation, and light refreshments will be provided.
This event is completely FREE and all are welcome to attend. To help us plan accordingly, please complete the RSVP by Thursday, December 4. The first 50 guests who RSVP and attend will receive a gift card.

Take a night to breathe, reset, and refill your energy before the holidays — with a healing experience created just for Eaton and Palisades survivors. This isn’t a typical webinar — it’s a choose‑your‑own‑healing adventure. You’ll get rapid-fire intros to a variety of wellness spaces, then choose the breakout session that sparks something for you:

• Creative expression & art therapy
• Faith-based encouragement
• Peer connection
• Nervous system and body reset
Led by Elaine Miller-Karas — one of the world’s foremost trauma recovery experts, whose healing work spans Ukraine, New Orleans, and communities around the globe. The Coalition for Altadena Recovery (CCAR) will host a community commemoration marking the one-year anniversary of the Eaton Fire on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at 5:00 p.m., in the Grocery Outlet parking lot, 2270 Lake Ave., Altadena, CA. The Eaton Fire forever changed the landscape of Altadena, but it also revealed the community’s extraordinary strength, spirit, compassion, and resolve. This gathering is intended to bring residents together in resilience and solidarity, to reflect on what was lost, celebrate what has been rebuilt, and look ahead with hope. The evening will feature music, remembrances, and light refreshments. This is a rain-or-shine event, and all community members are encouraged to attend. Additional details, including speakers and program highlights, will be shared as the date approaches.
